Terry on Tianjin radar

Chelsea skipper John Terry has been offered the chance to join Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian at the end of the season.

The Far East club are understood to have already finalised a £25m annual package with Blues striker Diego Costa, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, The Sun claims.

The same source suggests that Terry could be lured to the Asian spenders in the summer with club owner Shu Yuhui keen to add three big European names to his squad.

Terry, now 36, has decided against a fresh Blues contract beyond the summer in order to earn regular first-team football in the latter stages of his career.

The veteran centre-back is likely to be presented with offers from domestic rivals West Bromwich Albion and Bournemouth this summer, but Tianjin are nevertheless hopeful of tempting the player abroad with the prospect of a bumper wage package.

Terry has made just four league starts for Chelsea this term with manager Antonio Conte in favour of the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill in his back three.
