Newcastle plot move for Premier League winner
Newcastle United are reportedly lining up an ambitious bid to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi after his frustrating spell at Stamford Bridge this season.
The Belgium international had seen limited first-team action for the Blues throughout the campaign but he managed to net the Premier League winning goal in the game at West Bromwich Albion.
According to The Mirror, the striker could earn a surprise move to Tyneside this summer with Rafa Benitez looking to add a potent goalscorer to his ranks.
The Magpies' officials are understood to have kept a close watch on Batshuayi while at former club Marseille and they are prepared to express an interest - now that they are back in England's premier competition.
Batshuayi managed to net four goals in the last three games of the season, and there is a sense that he could move on, should he fail to receive assurances of regular first-team football next term
The former Marseille man managed just a solitary league start in a victorious campaign with Antonio Conte sticking with Diego Costa and at times Eden Hazard for the centre-forward duties.
