Adnan Januzaj set for Real Sociedad move

Januzaj is set to move to the La Liga next season

The Belgian is not wanted by Jose Mourinho anymore and Manchester United are looking to sell him, with Real Sociedad showing the strongest interest.

Adnan Januzaj endured another difficult season as he was shipped on loan to Sunderland. Mourinho hoped that a reunion between Januzaj and David Moyes, the man who gave the Belgian his break at Old Trafford, would bring back the form he showed in the 2013-14 season.

However, he failed to make an impact, scoring just 1 goal in 28 appearances as Sunderland were relegated from the Premier League and David Moyes getting the sack. Januzaj's previous loan move to Borussia Dortmund, a place where young talents are known to flourish, also failed as he appeared just 12 times and failed to score at all.

According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho is ready to sell the 22-year-old. Real Sociedad has stepped in as the first candidate to sign the youngster.

With a year left on his contract, United will look for at least £8.8 million for the winger. Similar to Memphis Depay, who has sold to Lyon in January, there will be a buy-back clause included in the contract to avoid a Paul Pogba scenario where they sold the Frenchman for £800,000 but bought him back for a world-record £89 million.
