Bayern revive Sanchez interest

German champions Bayern Munich are planning to revive their interest in Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez during the winter transfer window.

The Chile international was initially linked with a move to the Allianz Arena last summer, but former boss Carlo Ancelotti baulked at the Gunners' hefty demands.

Sanchez was then associated with a move to Manchester City prior to deadline day but the deal did not materialise owing to the Gunners' failure to find a replacement.

The 28-year-old is likely to leave the Emirates between January and the end of the season, and according to ESPN, the Bavarian giants could lodge a winter attempt for his services.

Both Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski are currently sidelined with hamstring injuries, and this has increased the need for a new attacker - with James Rodriguez having produced a mixed bag since his loan move from Real Madrid.

Arsene Wenger has previously refused to rule out the winter sale of Sanchez whose Gunners deal is due to expire in eight months' time. Arsenal are said to value Sanchez at £30m for the January transfer window, as per The Sun.
