Olivier Giroud reacts to Chelsea's heroics versus Southampton
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has declared the Blues should be proud of their stellar comeback against Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues were at one stage two goals down to the Saints on the road, but Giroud led the revival by scoring a goal on either side of Eden Hazard's left foot finish.
Speaking after the game, Giroud told Sky Sports: "It was tough for us, the second for them was difficult. The most important thing is never give up, believe in our quality, play our game and I am proud of what we have done today with our amazing support."
With the victory, the Blues are upto 60 points for the Premier League, and they are now seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who are yet to play their gameweek fixture.
Chelsea will now shift their focus to another vital league outing at Burnley on Thursday night after which they have to prepare themselves for a FA Cup semi-final against Mark Hughes' Southampton.
