Paul Scholes: Manchester United should drop Alexis Sanchez vs Spurs for this reason
Manchester United favourite Paul Scholes believes Alexis Sanchez should be dropped by Jose Mourinho for the Red Devils' FA Cup semi-final versus Tottenham Hotspur.
The Chile international has been fairly inconsistent since arriving at Old Trafford in January and he was only an unused substitute in the midweek win over Bournemouth.
Despite his non-involvement, the attacker is expected by many to make the starting lineup versus Spurs but Scholes is hopeful that this is not the case.
Speaking on BT Sport, Scholes highlighted that the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are better off starting the game with Sanchez becoming 'predictable' for his opponents.
He said: "I'd go Rashford and Martial but I think he will probably bring Sanchez back into it. I just don't think his form has been good enough. I think he's been quite predictable - we all know the talent he's got."
Aside from this, Mourinho has a huge decision to make on the central defensive partnership with Phil Jones having returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday.
Chris Smalling has been preferred pick alongside Eric Bailly during the back end of the campaign, and it will be interesting to see whether Jones could replace either of them this weekend.
