Antonio Conte delivers key injury boost for Newcastle game
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Thibaut Courtois has reported to training ahead of the final Premier League game of the season at Newcastle United.
The Belgium international missed the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night with a back problem and this presented doubts over his potential involvement in the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
However, speaking ahead of the Newcastle game, Conte confirmed that the shot-stopper may return to the starting lineup for the Magpies trip, he said: "Today Courtois trained. He will be in contention for Newcastle."
Chelsea are currently two points behind Liverpool in fourth spot, who have a superior goal difference and their chances of Champions League football next term are reliant on Brighton picking up a shock victory at Anfield whilst securing a win for themselves at St James Park.
Newcastle United have been sort of a bogey team for the Blues on the road and they will be eyeing their first win against the Magpies since December 2011.
