Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3) to face Watford, Carrick and Romero start
Manchester United entertain Watford in their final game of the Premier League season. The Red Devils cemented the runner-up spot after a goalless draw against West Ham United in midweek and Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will be resting a number of key players ahead of next weekend's FA Cup final versus Chelsea.
Formation: 4-3-3
Lineup:
David de Gea managed to claim his first ever Premier League Golden Glove award after securing his 18th clean sheet against West Ham United. He is due to be rested this weekend with Sergio Romero replacing him.
Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw are strong candidates to start on the right and left side of the backline whilst Mourinho has already confirmed that Eric Bailly and Phil Jones will make up the central defensive partnership.
In midfield, club-captain Michael Carrick is expected to start his farewell game for the club and he could be accompanied by Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay in a three-man combination.
Further forward, both Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard are expected to be rested whilst Romelu Lukaku is still nursing an ankle injury. As such, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata are expected to start either side of Marcus Rashford, who is due to lead the line.
