United legend urges Jose Mourinho to go for Bale
Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has urged Jose Mourinho to go for Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale.
Speaking to 888sport, the former Premier League winner advised Mourinho to stop looking at the World Cup for players and go for the Tottenham Hotspurs man.
The Welshman whose country is not at the World Cup featured sparingly for Real last season, but came from the bench to fire Real Madrid to their third consecutive Champions League trophy with with two well taken goals.
“United and Jose don’t need to look at the World Cup. No player suits us more than Gareth Bale," Yorke said.
"Yes there will always be some exciting candidates to look at but Bale is someone who excites me.
“He is the right age, in his prime, and will be the perfect addition.”
Under David Moyes, United had attempted but failed to sign the attacker. That was in 2013 when he signed for Real Madrid for a then world record fee of £85m.
