West Ham United confirm their seventh summer signing
West Ham United have secured their seventh signing of the summer transfer window with Felipe Anderson arriving from Lazio on a club-record deal.
The east London outfit had been in constant discussions for the Brazilian over the past month and they have eventually managed to strike an agreement for the attacker.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have paid an initial fee of £35m for Anderson with a further £7m to be settled in add-ons and he has now inked a four-year contract with the club.
"I feel really happy and fulfilled to join West Ham United. West Ham is a club with a lot of tradition, lots of great players have played here, like Bobby Moore, Carlos Tevez and [Paulo] Di Canio," he told the club's official website.
Anderson had been associated with a Premier League move over the past three seasons and he now has the chance to prove himself after an impressive career in Rome.
Meanwhile, the Hammers have extended their spending spree of nearly £90m for the summer with as many as seven players making the switch to the London Stadium.
Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Lukasz Fabianski, Jack Wilshere, Fabian Balbuena, Andriy Yarmolenko have all joined the Hammers prior to Anderson's arrival.
