Leicester City set fresh asking price for Manchester United target
Leicester City have reportedly upped their transfer price for defender Harry Maguire after getting to know of Manchester United's interest in the centre-back.
On Thursday, Sky Sports reported that United have made a formal approach for the England international with a view to securing a £62m move for his services.
However, according to Metro, the Foxes are not prepared to offer an easy route to their defender and they are now said to demand at least £75m to sanction his sale.
Maguire has made great strides over the past 18 months and he is now one of the first names in the Three Lions' teamsheet after starring at the summer World Cup in Russia.
Should a deal go through, Maguire could become the joint most-expensive defender in history alongside Virgil van Dijk, who made the switch to Liverpool from Southampton last winter.
United boss Jose Mourinho has expressed a keen interest in pursuing a centre-back this summer but so far, the club have not found success in signing any of their transfer targets.
