Chelsea target Everton goalkeeper
Chelsea are looking to bring in Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford if Thibaut Courtois goes to Real Madrid, Sky Sports reports.
Courtois is gradually getting closer to a move to Real Madrid after agreeing personal terms with the Spanish giants. Chelsea have reportedly agreed a transfer fee of £31m.
Chelsea have also been linked with former goalkeeper Petr Cech but the Arsenal goalkeeper has said that he wants to play under new boss Unai Emery.
Pickford was in great form for England in the World, helping them win the penalty shoot-out against Colombia in the second round. He also made great saves in the quarter-final game against Sweden to ensure that the Three Lions make it to their first semi-final since 1990.
Kasper Schmeichel and Jack Butland have also been named as possible replacements for Courtois but Sky Sports understands that Pickford is the most preferred. Pickford, 24, who was bought from Sunderland for £30m in the summer of 2017 appeared in all 38 games for Everton last season.
