Leicester enter race to sign Chelsea midfielder
Leicester City are reportedly looking at the prospect of re-signing Danny Drinkwater following his average debut campaign with Chelsea.
Drinkwater joined the Blues with plenty of promise in the summer of 2017 but he has since struggled to make a key impression with just five league starts to his name.
At present, the Englishman finds himself behind the likes of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko and TEAMtalk suggests that he could be shown the exit door.
As per the report, the Blues could be prepared to accept a cut-price fee of just £20m for the midfielder, who cost them £35m during the previous summer transfer window.
West Ham United and Crystal Palace have been associated with the England international in recent weeks but the Foxes now appear to have joined the race as they seek to strengthen their midfield.
Chelsea have recruited just two players in the form of Jorginho and Rob Green this summer but there could be further movement in the next few days with a new striker said to be a key priority.
