Steve Bruce gives update on Spurs' position on Grealish transfer
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has said that Tottenham Hotspur are yet to meet their valuation for attacking midfielder Jack Grealish.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Englishman all summer and have reportedly made a £20m bid for the player.
"Spurs haven't got anywhere near what the owners want to consider - so there's not a discussion to be had at the moment, because they've not got anywhere near the figure they demand," Bruce said, Sky Sports reports.
Tottenham have been unable to complete a single signing this summer with the close of the transfer season under a week away. With this comment, Spurs will have to pay more for the promising player, who could become a regular for the England national side in future.
He has made 110 appearances for Villa, scoring 9 times and assisting 13 goals. A move to Spurs will be a step up for Grealish, who is currently in the Championship with Villa following their failure to clinch top-flight promotion last term.
