Arsenal open to Danny Welbeck sale
Arsenal boss Unai Emery is prepared to sanction the departure of Danny Welbeck before the transfer window closes this month.
The England international returned to Gunners' training on Monday after an extended break for his participation at the summer World Cup.
However, Standard Sport suggests that his stay may not last beyond the ongoing week with Emery prepared to show him the exit door before the start of the new campaign.
At present, Everton, Bournemouth and Southampton are all said to have expressed an interest in pursuing the 27-year-old, who has less than a year left on his existing deal.
Aside from Welbeck, Lucas Perez has also been tipped to part ways with the Gunners with Sporting Lisbon, Fiorentina and West Ham United among the main contenders for his signature.
Arsenal begin their campaign with a testing challenge against reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday. Before that, Emery is said to be eyeing one signing with Besiktas' Domagoj Vida topping his wishlist.
