Gary Cahill to leave Chelsea in January?

Gary Cahill will try to leave Chelsea in January if he doesn't get more playing time, the Sun reports.

The defender has not played a single minute for Maurizio Sarri's side, and could leave Stamford Bridge in the next transfer window in January as a result.

The Englishman was linked with a move away from the club during the last summer transfer window, but reports indicated that he was willing to stay and fight for his place in the starting eleven.

Sarri has overlooked Cahill for the opening games this season, preferring David Luiz and Antonio Rüdiger to play for the London side in central defence.

With Chelsea having a perfect start to their Premier League season, it looks unlikely that Sarri will reshuffle his defence to include Cahill, further increasing the likelihood of the defender seeking a move in January.

Chelsea will face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on the 25th of September, and it remains to be seen whether Cahill will play in the tournament.
