Klopp provides injury news ahead of PSG game
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has cast doubt over the fitness of Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke ahead his side's UEFA Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain.
Both players sustained injuries in Liverpool's Under-23s 3-0 victory over Swansea City last Saturday and are unlikely to feature on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the game on Tuesday, Klopp said, Liverpoolfc.com reports: “It’s not too serious. Div has a little bit of an ankle [injury]. He tried this morning and didn’t really work out too well, so he will try again tomorrow morning. With Dom, we have to see. He got a knock and we will see how that develops."
Roberto Firmino is also expected to miss the game against the French champions after sustaining an eye injury in Liverpool's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
Apart from the aforementioned players, Liverpool have a fit squad to pursue the Champions League game at Anfield.
The Reds are on the back of a very impressive start to the season and are expected to put up a good fight against a PSG side that also boast of some of the best players in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
PSG are also having a good season so far. They have won their first five league games this season.
