Antonio Rudiger wants Chelsea forwards to ease the burden on Eden Hazard

Rudiger wants other forwards to help Hazard in the scoring department

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has cited that Eden Hazard cannot single-handedly take up the goalscoring burden and his fellow forwards must contribute to the scoresheet more regularly.

The Belgium international recently netted his sixth goal of the Premier League campaign against Liverpool but his efforts were not enough to secure the three points after Daniel Sturridge bagged the leveller for the Reds with a stellar strike from outside the box.

Speaking after that game, the German centre-back highlighted that the Blues need to learn to kill matches and for that, the likes of Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and Willian must also contribute towards the goal tally.

"We need to learn to kill matches," Rudiger told Standard Sport. "It's not only on Eden's shoulders. We need the other players to help him with scoring. He has been doing his job very well again, but the other guys must score too – Giroud, Morata, Willian have to score."

Chelsea entertain Videoton in the second group stage game of the Europa League on Thursday night and it remains to be seen whether Eden Hazard would command a starting role after being rested altogether during the opening game of the competition against PAOK.
