Hodgson: Crystal Palace will be in for Loftus-Cheek during January

Roy Hodgson has revealed that he hopes to make a move for Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the January transfer window. The Chelsea midfielder has struggled for first-team football since returning to the Blues from a loan spell at Crystal Palace last season, despite being a part of England's World Cup squad.
Although highly thought of at Chelsea by manager Maurizio Sarri, so far Loftus-Cheek has failed to force his way into the first-team squad on a regular basis.
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson hopes to take advantage of a potential change in Loftus-Cheek's situation come January.
The arrivals of Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho has seen Loftus-Cheek left on the bench, meanwhile new manager Sarri seems to prefer fellow Englishman Ross Barkley.
We admire him,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“Like a lot of other clubs I’m sure when the day comes when he becomes available for transfer, we will be sticking our noses into that. But whether we will get him again that’s another matter.
“He did an outstanding job for us when he came here and really for us answered all the questions that we hoped he would answer.”
