Maurizio Sarri reacts after Chelsea's stalemate versus Everton
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that the Blues must change their approach to their games after they were forced to settle for a goalless stalemate against Everton on Sunday.
The Blues had the better chances during the course of the game but the Toffees backline stood firm for the major parts with Jordan Pickford solid between the sticks.
Speaking after the encounter, Sarri bemoaned another slow start to a Premier League game and believes the team must change their approach as the season goes on.
"I think we have to sort out the problem of the approach of the match. At the beginning we moved the ball too slowly, so it is easy for the opposition to defend and impossible for us to be dangerous," he told BBC Sport.
With the 0-0 draw, the Blues dropped one position to third on the Premier League table and they are now four points behind Manchester City, who are leading the standings.
The players will now be heading for the international break but on their return, they have a tricky London derby on the road to Tottenham Hotspur on November 24.
