Arsenal want Juventus defender in Aaron Ramsey swap?
Arsenal have reportedly offered Aaron Ramsey to Juventus this month with the hope of signing Moroccan defender Medhi Benatia in a straight-swap deal.
Ramsey has just six months remaining on his contract with the club and he has already been told to pursue a fresh challenge with an extension unlikely to happen.
Amidst this, the Bianconeri were recently fancied to offer Sami Khedira in a swap move for the Welshman but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners would rather fancy signing a defender instead.
It is added that they have set their sights on recruiting Benatia, who has made just five league appearances this term, although the Bianconeri are not entirely keen on losing the defender this month.
Benatia has struggled for gametime since the return of Leonardo Bonucci during the summer and he has recently voiced his concern regarding the restricted gametime under manager Max Allegri.
Arsenal are keen on pursuing a central defender this month with Rob Holding injured for the season while Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal have experienced occasional fitness concerns.
