Predicted Chelsea XI to face Eintracht Frankfurt

Chelsea are scheduled to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.

The Blues stand in a good position after bagging an away goal during the 1-1 draw in Frankfurt, but they still need to produce a strong showing at the Bridge to progress to the final in Baku.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been the Blues' regular for the Premier League and Champions League duties and he is expected to retain his position in goal against Frankfurt.

In the defence, the same combination is likely from the first leg in Frankfurt. Andreas Christensen and David Luiz should slot into the heart of the defence with Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson in the full-back positions.

In the midfield, Sarri won't be able to bank on the services of N'Golo Kante after his hamstring injury at the weekend. In his absence, Mateo Kovacic could enter the fray to partner Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the centre of the park.

In the frontline, Eden Hazard is expected to feature on the left wing and could be accompanied by Willian on the opposite flank, given the Brazilian was an unused substitute in their recent league game.

Olivier Giroud is likely to lead the line ahead of Gonzalo Higuian, which has been the case for most of the European season. The Frenchman is the competition's top-scorer with 10 goals this term.
