Ligue 1 attacker rejects advances from Liverpool?
Liverpool are set to miss out on the signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille amid the fresh interest from Bundeliga holders Bayern Munich.
Pepe has recently finished a tremendous season with Lille where he contributed a tally of 22 goals and 11 assists in the league while helping his team secure Champions League football.
Despite this, he has been widely touted to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere and The Sun claims that Bayern are seemingly the favourites to recruit the winger ahead of the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp's side have been fancied to pursue Pepe in the past few days but it appears that Bayern have the advantage of offering him a regular starting berth next season.
The German champions have recently parted ways with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery and there remains a strong scope of Pepe cementing a starting role unlike at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have remained the regular choices to start upfront under Klopp and no changes are expected next term barring injuries.
