Patrick Vieira updates on his future amid Arsenal link
Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has dismissed suggestions that he could leave Nice in order to become the new head coach of the north London giants.
The Gunners parted ways with Unai Emery earlier in the month and they have since persisted with Freddie Ljungberg on an interim basis.
A recent report from ESPN cited that Vieira could be the front-runner for the Gunners job but the Frenchman has distanced himself from the same by stating that he is content with the project at Nice.
"You can never ignore a club where you've spent nine years. But, honestly, I'm focused on this project at Nice, I feel very good here. It's a very exciting project. I've always said that I'm very happy in Nice," he told Canal +.
The Gunners have failed to win any of their previous nine games in all competitions and that is currently their worst run of results in more than four decades.
Arsenal are scheduled to face West Ham United on the road in tonight's London derby in the Premier League and the fans will be hoping for a change in fortunes.
