Manchester City keeping tabs on Bundesliga prospect
The 20-year-old turns out to be a prime target for La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, while Bayern Munich is also reportedly keeping close tabs on him.
According to Mirror, Manchester City have entered the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen prospect Kai Havertz, rivalling fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool.
The German is one of the hottest commodities in Europe right now following his impressive 2018/19 campaign, where he bagged 20 goals and 7 assists in all competitions. Eventually, he ended up as the Bundesliga's second-highest goal scorer and ensured Leverkusen a place in the Champions League.
Touted as the successor to his German counterpart Mesut Ozil, Havertz is a versatile attacker who can play as a midfielder as well.
Cityzens seems to be keen on adding reinforcements as veteran David Silva will be leaving Etihad at the end of this season.
They are currently third in the Premier League table and will face Real Madrid in the UCL knockouts.
