Arsenal midfielder set for January exit
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is reportedly set to pursue a fresh challenge away from the north London club when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Swiss international was involved in a furious bust-up with the fans during a Premier League clash against Crystal Palace in October and that saw him stripped from the captaincy and sidelined from first-team duties.
He has, however, made his comeback after the dismissal of manager Unai Emery but reports in Germany claim that he is set to leave the Gunners at the beginning of the year.
It is added that Hertha Berlin are leading the hunt to sign the 27-year-old midfielder and they are prepared to break their transfer record to lure him back to the Bundesliga.
Meanwhile, reports elsewhere indicate that Xhaka's future with the Gunners may be dependent on his displays against Bournemouth and Chelsea, the former which will see Mikel Arteta make his managerial debut with the club.
