Manchester United enter the race for Kalidou Koulibaly?
Manchester United are understood to have re-entered the race to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Senegalese has been linked with the Red Devils over the past 18 months and earlier this year, Napoli chief Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed that they had rejected a club-record fee from the Premier League giants.
United have since landed the signature of Harry Maguire from Leicester City but they still seem intent on strengthening the heart of the backline when the transfer window reopens.
According to Football Expert Ian McGarry, the Red Devils are on the hunt for a new central defender and they could get their hands on Koulibaly, who has revealed his intention to leave Napoli.
Koulibaly's valuation has dropped with him entering the backend of his professional career but Napoli are still expected to demand around £60m amid the interest from Manchester United among others.
Koulibaly has recently been linked with a reunion with former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti at Everton but it is unclear whether the Senegalese would favour joining a side which is lying at the tailend of the standings.
