Chelsea handed boost in signing Wilfried Zaha?
Chelsea have reportedly been handed with a huge boost to sign Wilfried Zaha with the Ivorian linking up with super-agent Pini Zahavi.
The 27-year-old was heavily associated with moves to Arsenal and Everton last summer but neither were willing to meet the Eagles' £80m price tag.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has recently dismissed the prospect of a mid-season deal for Zaha but The Mail claims that the club are still in the running for the attacker.
The same report claims that Zaha's agent Zahavi has a close relationship with Blues owner Roman Abramovich but it is still unclear whether the Eagles will lower their asking price for the Ivorian.
Chelsea are looking to sign a winger and a centre-forward this month and the likes of Moussa Dembele and Fedor Chalov are among the options to strengthen the latter of those positions.
Chalov was the subject of interest from Crystal Palace over the summer but their £23m bid was turned down by CSKA Moscow. Chelsea will definitely have to propose a better package for the Russian.
