Manchester United to sign Algerian striker on loan?
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to push through a loan move for Islam Slimani from Leicester City before the transfer deadline on Friday.
The Algeria international is currently on loan with AS Monaco where he has excelled with seven goals and seven assists but reports claim that his deal could be terminated, should the Foxes receive a loan proposal from United.
According to The Mail, the Red Devils could be prepared to pay around £4m for a temporary deal for the next five months with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said to be keen on landing a new striker.
United are without the services of Marcus Rashford for the next two months at the least after the stress fracture in his back and Solskjaer is eager to cover up the void as the club battle for a top four finish to the league season.
The Red Devils will be in League Cup action on Wednesday night. Solskjaer's side are trailing by a 3-1 scoreline after the first leg of the League Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.
