Manchester City are reportedly keeping close tabs on Swansea City centre-back Joe Rodon, according to Daily Mail.

The report briefs that City are tacking the progress of highly-rated Welsh defender, who is also subject to the interest of top Premier League clubs.

Rodon, 22, has returned to the fold recently after missing out for several weeks due to an ankle injury.

A youth product of Swansea, Rodon broke into the main team by the age of 18 itself. He also had a short-term loan spell with Cheltenham Town at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

Rodon was handed his first senior cap for Welsh national team by Ryan Giggs last year, featuring in the Euro qualifiers.

Elsewhere, City’s defence has been a let down this season following the injury to star centre-back Aymeric Laporte. The ineptitude in the defence had cost Pep Guardiola many games in Premier League this season.

Hence, the Spaniard boss is reportedly eyeing two new faces in the defence this summer.
