Tottenham keeping tabs on Dutch defender
Tottenham are reportedly preparing a summer move for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as the Cherries face the possibility of relegation.
According to The Sun, Spurs can acquire the services of the 24-year-old for a cut-price deal, should the Cherries get relegated to the Championship next season.
The Dutch centre-back was previously linked with a move to Chelsea in the winter exchange before they decided to cool their interest.
A youth product of the Blues, Ake spent nearly five seasons at the Stamford Bridge - mostly on loan with the Championship clubs - before he made his switch to the Cherries in 2017.
Jose Mourinho also cites Ake as the perfect replacement to Jan Vertonghen, who is likely to leave this summer once his contract ends.
The report also states that Mourinho could face competition from the Blues whose manager Frank Lampard turns out to be a great admirer of Ake.
Spurs were also linked with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly for a while, but Manchester United are said to have become the favourites.
