Barca to make move for Martin Braithwaite?

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Leganes striker Martin Braithwaite as they are allowed to make an emergency signing following the injury to Ousmane Dembele.

Several names have emerged on the Catalans' radar over the last few weeks including the likes of Angel Rodriguez, Lucas Perez, Loren Moren and most recently Roger Marti.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Braithwaite has emerged as a surprise target for Barca while not being previously linked with them.

The 28-year-old has bagged 6 goals and 2 assists in La Liga this season for Leganes, who are currently in the relegation zone. The Dutchman played for Middlesbrough for two seasons before moving to Spain.

Quique Setien has now been left with limited attacking options following the injuries to Dembele and Luis Suarez, with the latter one hoping to make his return before the end of this season.

The Blaugrana passed up the opportunity to find a short term replacement for the Uruguayan in the winter transfer window after having not found any player with a suitable profile.

Barca have also set their sights on Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, who is also being closely watched by their arch-rivals Real Madrid.
