Barcelona submit offer for Bundesliga striker
Barcelona have reportedly made an approach for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Werner is deemed as one of the hottest commodities in Europe as he would be available for £25m this summer.
According to Daily Mail, Barca have made a formal approach for the 23-year-old alongside Premier League club Manchester United. However, Werner is said to be expecting offers from Liverpool, who turn out to be the front runners for his signature.
Werner himself confessed his desire to play for the Merseyside club while hailing them as one of the dangerous sides in Europe.
Likewise, Jurgen Klopp hasn't ruled out the interest to sign the Leipzig forward, commenting that it is entirely normal for him to get linked with the Reds.
Elsewhere, Barca are in search of a new no.9 as Luis Suarez approaches the end of his career.
Inter’s Lautaro Martinez appears the priority for the Catalans, but they are required to shell out €111m for his signature in the summer. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also posing as a threat to the Blaugrana for the Argentine striker.
