Atletico Madrid to battle for Napoli outcast?

Atletico Madrid are set to battle for the signing of Napoli winger Hirving Lozano.

The Mexican international would likely to leave the Naples this summer after failing to live up to his expectations in Serie A.

According to Calcio Mercato, Atletico are ready to battle for the signature of the 24-year-old, with a host of Premier League clubs including the likes of Everton and Wolves keeping close tabs on him.

It has been downhill for Lozano since his €50m transfer from PSV, featuring in 16 games alone with an underwhelming goal and assists tally of 3.

The Mexican winger has also failed to beat the likes of  Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon in the first place while Partenopei's latest addition Matteo Politano has also made the life difficult for him.

Meanwhile, Rojiblancos are looking to strengthen their attack this summer as Alvaro Morato and marquee signing Joao Felix have been complacent this season.

Atletico have also reportedly made contact with Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette ahead of a possible summer move.

Diego Simeone's side will face Liverpool this Wednesday, having won the first leg of UCL round of 16 1-0.
