Tottenham Hotspur defender set for permanent exit

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to part ways with defender Danny Rose on a permanent basis to Newcastle United when the transfer window reopens.
Rose made the move to the Magpies on loan in January and he has since established himself as a regular starter in the Premier League under head coach Steve Bruce.
According to Northern Echo, manager Jose Mourinho is willing to allow the permanent sale of Rose this summer, given he has the likes of Ben Davies and Japhet Tanganga to depend on the left side of the defence.
Rose has helped the Magpies keep three clean sheets from his six Premier League appearances and the Tyneside outfit are said to be leading the race to sign him on a long-term contract.
Rose has made over 200 appearances for Spurs since his debut more than a decade ago. He was linked with a high-profile move to Manchester United in the past but a couple of knee injuries have hampered his career.
