Liverpool very likely to sign Bundesliga star
Liverpool are likely to sign Timo Werner when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
The German has been in brilliant form for RB Leipzig this term and he has bagged 27 goals and 12 assists for the club across all competitions.
A recent report claimed that the Reds could miss out on signing the Germany international, particularly with the ongoing shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, according to Bleacher Report, Werner is 'very likely' to leave Leipzig during the off-season and the Reds remains the forward's preferred destination.
Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been the undisputed choices in the frontline in recent seasons but Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on signing Werner to provide much-needed competition.
Werner is capable of playing across the attack but he has largely featured in the centre-forward position for Leipzig. The former Stuttgart graduate could leave Leipzig for a fee of around £51m when the transfer window reopens.
