Chelsea enter the race to sign Argentine marksman
Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.
The Argentine has been in good form for the Nerazzurri this season and he has amassed 16 goals and four assists from 31 outings.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in recent weeks but Italian outlet Tuttosport claims that the Blues have entered the race for his services.
The west London side are unlikely to meet the £102m release clause on his contract but they are hoping to reduce the price by offering a couple of players in exchange.
The Nerazzurri are currently on the lookout for another left-sided defender and reports claim that the Blues are prepared to offer Emerson as part of the transfer agreement for Martinez.
Furthermore, they are willing to sanction the permanent departure of Victor Moses, who joined the Nerazzurri on a temporary deal at the beginning of the year.
Chelsea currently have three strikers in Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi. Batshuayi is expected to leave the club this summer while Giroud could do the same.
Giroud's deal was recently extended until the summer of 2021. He has still been fancied to part ways with the club. Inter remain interested in the marksman's signature.
