Tottenham Hotspur confirm first summer signing
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their first signing of the summer transfer window with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joining them from Southampton.
The Denmark international has penned a five-year deal with the club after they finalised an initial fee worth £15m for his transfer.
"I am very proud, very happy and excited. I think there is a fantastic future ahead for the club and I wanted so much to be a part of that," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, Kyle Walker-Peters has moved in the opposite direction following his loan stint during the second half of last season. He has joined the Saints in a separate deal worth £12m.
Spurs are working on a limited budget for the summer transfer window, but they are still aiming to sign at least two more players. They are eyeing a new right-back and a striker to play back-up to Harry Kane.
Bournemouth's Callum Wilson has been linked with Spurs in recent weeks but so far, there has been no agreement in place to land his services from the south Coast outfit.
