Chelsea favourites to sign Real Madrid star

Chelsea are reportedly leading Arsenal in the race to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid during the current transfer window.

The left-back is currently on loan at Sevilla where he has registered two goals and four assists from 35 appearances across all competitions.

Sevilla are eager to sign him permanently this summer, but AS claims that they are set to face competition from Chelsea and Arsenal.

It is added that the Blues have the edge over the Gunners as they will be able to offer the Spaniard Champions League football next season.

The Blues currently have Marcos Alonso and Emerson as the left-back options, but the latter has been linked with a potential move to Inter Milan.

The Gunners, on the other hand, are not actively looking for a new option in the position, given the success of Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka last term.

They also have Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who can slot into the role. The latter has been fancied to head for the exit door.
