Leeds United handed boost in signing Arsenal defender
Leeds United have been handed a boost in signing Rob Holding from Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window, a report from The Star reports.
Marcelo Bielsa's side have been eager to re-sign Ben White from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer after the centre-back impressed on loan during their promotion campaign.
However, they have been unable to find a suitable agreement with the Seagulls and recently failed with a third bid worth £25m for the 22-year-old.
According to The Star, the Whites are expected to shift their focus elsewhere and Holding is considered as one of the alternative targets to fulfil the role.
The Gunners are on the verge of signing Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille and it is claimed that could pave the way for the departure of Holding.
The north London side are expected to balance their books to finance the arrival of new signings and Holding is likely to head for the exit door.
