Arsenal could offload as many as four defenders following the arrival of Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille this summer.

The Gunners have been tipped to sign the Brazilian centre-back over the past few weeks and they are currently on the cusp of sealing the deal.

With his arrival, the club will be overloaded with options in the central defence and it appears that as many as four players could head for the exit door.

According to The Times, David Luiz, Pablo Mari, William Saliba and Gabriel could be the central defensive choices under manager Mikel Arteta next season.

It is added that Rob Holding and Calum Chambers could be offloaded to balance the books while the futures of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi are also uncertain.

Both Sokratis and Mustafi have entered the final year of their respective contracts and the Gunners are bound to sell them as they have no plans of renewing their deals.

Konstantinos Mavropanos is the other centre-back in the club's ranks, but he has already been loaned out to Stuttgart for the entire 2020/21 campaign.
