Chelsea set to loan out centre-back to Everton
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is expected to spend the 2020/21 season on loan with Everton, according to ESPN.
The England international spent the 2018/2019 campaign on loan at Derby County, where he worked under manager Frank Lampard.
The duo were reunited last summer when Lampard became the Blues head coach and Tomori impressed during the first half of the previous season, which earned him his maiden cap with the Three Lions.
However, his game time drastically reduced during the backend of the campaign with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma and Cesar Azpilicueta favoured ahead of him for the central defensive roles.
With the arrival of the experienced Thiago Silva on a free transfer, Tomori's chances of game time have further reduced and ESPN reports that the Blues are set to loan him out to the Toffees.
The Merseyside outfit brought the best out of Zouma on loan during the 2018/19 season and they will be hoping that Tomori can make a similar impact to urge Lampard to include him in his future plans.
