Arsenal offered French goalkeeper on loan
Arsenal have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on loan for the forthcoming campaign.
The Gunners currently have Bernd Leno and Emiliano Martinez competing for the number one role, but the latter is keen on a departure with the lack of an assured starting spot.
The north London side have set an asking price of around £20m for the Argentine, but they will need to sign a replacement first before sanctioning his exit.
Brentford's David Raya has been mentioned as a potential target in recent weeks, but The Mirror claims that Areola has emerged as another possible option for Mikel Arteta's side.
The Frenchman's agent has recently travelled to the English capital to hold negotiations with Fulham and it appears that the Gunners have also been offered the opportunity to secure his services.
Areola spent the previous season on loan at Real Madrid where he played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois. He is expected to pursue another new challenge with Keylor Navas being Les Parisiens' number one choice.
