West Ham United plan £5m loan offer for Arsenal star
West Ham United are reportedly planning a loan offer of around £5m for Arsenal defender Rob Holding.
Holding was fancied to join Newcastle United in a loan deal worth £3m earlier this summer, but manager Mikel Arteta blocked the move after he was impressed with his recent displays.
Despite this, there continues to remain speculation regarding the centre-back's future and The Sun claims that the Hammers are willing to pay around £5m for a season-long loan.
The east London outfit are also prepared to meet the player's salary in full, but it is unclear whether the Gunners will consider the offer from David Moyes' side.
The Hammers are desperate to pursue a centre-back with Premier League experience and they have so far failed to land James Tarkowski from Burnley.
They were prepared to pay as much as £30m for the England international, but the Clarets made it clear that they won't sell him for anything less than £50m.
