Chelsea centre-back to consider summer exit

Rudiger on the move this summer?

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is considering a departure from the club after falling out-of-favour under manager Frank Lampard.

The Germany international was an unused substitute in the season opener at Brighton and he has since been left out of the matchday squad for three games in a row.

Hence, there has been plenty of speculation regarding his future and ESPN claims that Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma and Barcelona are among the clubs interested in signing him.

Rudiger made his way back into the Germany setup during the recent international break and he is eager to keep his spot by playing regular football at the club level.

While there is plenty interest from outside of the Premier League, the centre-back is open to the prospect of remaining in England with another top-flight club this term.

Chelsea would ideally prefer to sell him on a permanent basis, but reports claim that they may have to accept a loan deal with the option to buy next summer.

Rudiger is currently behind the likes of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori in the pecking order for the central defensive positions at Chelsea.
