Guardiola wants Harry Kane at Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly told the club's hierarchy to explore the possibility of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Cityzens currently have Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero as the specialist strikers, but the latter could leave when his contract expires next summer.

As a result, the club are likely to pursue another high-profile marksman and The Independent claims Guardiola is a huge admirer of Kane.

Kane has been in sensational form this term and he has bagged 11 goals and 13 assists from just 15 appearances in all competitions.

Spurs are currently top of the standings partly due to his efforts and they look good value to challenge for the Premier League title.

Still, Kane's future has been a topic of speculation, given he suggested in April that he will consider his future, if the club's trophy drought continues.

Should Spurs consider his sale, he won't come on the cheap and the Cityzens can expect to pay a club-record sum of more than £100m.
