Chelsea to block defender exit after Andreas Christensen injury
Chelsea are likely to block the departure of Fikayo Tomori on loan after an injury sustained by fellow centre-back Andreas Christensen.
The 23-year-old has barely featured for the Blues this term and he has managed only 44 minutes of Premier League football.
Hence, he has been linked with a possible loan move to Leeds United, but The Sun claims that the deal may not happen.
Christensen picked up a knee injury in the recent league clash against Aston Villa and there are fears that he could be out for an extended spell.
In that case, the Denmark international may be forced to remain with the Blues to act as the back-up to the likes of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma.
Antonio Rudiger has also been linked with a possible move elsewhere, but the setback for Christensen may force him to stay put for the season as well.
Chelsea will be aiming to end a three-match winless streak when they host League Two Morecambe in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
