Liverpool to sign Memphis Depay?

Liverpool are reportedly considering an approach for former Manchester United forward Memphis Depay.

The Dutchman left the Red Devils for Lyon in January 2017 after an unsuccessful 18 month spell in the Premier League.

That paved the way for his career revival. He has bagged 74 goals and 52 assists from 174 appearances for Lyon in all competitions.

Depay's contract with Lyon expires in June this year, and Barcelona have already made contact regarding a free transfer.

However, according to The Mirror, they could face competition from Jurgen Klopp's side, who are eyeing low-cost attacking options.

The likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi could be shown the exit door as part of the summer rebuild.

The Reds are currently on the cusp of making their first summer signing after triggering the release clause for Ibrahima Konate.

The deal for the RB Leipzig centre-back will be made formal next month, once the necessary paperwork is sorted out.
