Arsenal not interested in signing Serie A defender
Arsenal are not in the running to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer.
The centre-back has been tipped for a Premier League move, and he has already agreed personal terms with Spurs.
It was recently claimed that the Gunners could look to hijack the deal, but Fabrizio Romano has dismissed the speculation.
The Gunners have not made any approach for the Japan international, and they are still focused on signing top target Ben White.
The north London club have been in regular negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion, and they are close to finalising a fee.
They could pay around £50m up front for the England international, who made his Premier League debut last season.
White has also been on the radar of Manchester City and Chelsea, but the Gunners are clearly leading the race to sign him.
They are confident of landing the 23-year-old's services despite the late transfer interest from their Premier League rivals.
