Patrick Vieira keen on signing Arsenal winger for Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is keen on landing Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson on a season-long loan agreement.

The 21-year-old has fallen down the pecking order with the Gunners, and he was regularly missing from the matchday squad last season.

He has under two years left on his contract, but it has recently emerged that the club are prepared to hand him a new long-term deal.

They are reluctant to give up on him, but would be open to loaning him out. It is now reported that Vieira is keen on landing his services.

Vieira has a good association with the Gunners after his illustrious playing career with them. He is hoping to utilise the close links.

Aside from Nelson, the Frenchman is also keeping a close eye on Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Eddie Nketiah, who are out-of-favour.

Palace can make only one more domestic loan signing after the temporary agreement to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea last month.
